Garden Observations: The willow

The willow hangs low, its tips stopping just before they touch the water. A perfect pairing, willow and river.

What draws me to this scene is the glow of morning sun on the branches, turning them golden against the still surface. And perhaps the contrast too, the willow in full autumn display while scaffolding rises behind it. Nature showing its best form regardless of what's happening around it.
